Ipon Seoi Nage - Single Arm Shoulder Throw

Tori applies kuzushi forward, steps deeply between uke's legs at the same time as pulling uke's right sleeve.

As tori moves into position, he places his right arm against uke's ribs and up into uke's armpit, such that tori's bicep is holding uke's arm very tightly. Tori's knees are bent slightly and he should be angled forward. Tori's belt should be below uke's belt.

Tori's left arm does most of the work. We used to suggest people pretend they are looking at their watches. They would hold their left hand high, with pinky uppermost in the air, just the right arm position. As tori "looks" at his watch, his head and torso move to the left causing uke to be thrown over tori's right shoulder.
